STTRC is a Library and Resource Center for educators to learn about FREE science and technology curriculum materials.

STTRC is a Distribution Center where San Diego County teachers can obtain FREE recycled classroom materials.

These clips were written, produced, and directed in the Spring of 2008 by SGEEI/STTRC/High Tech High interns Chyavana Joseph and Raquel Morris. Lightning In Your Mouth - This short film explains the basic concept of tribolumenescence through a comedic and educational explanation. In this film we explain how wintergreen LifeSavers© produce light in the dark.

Balloon Car - In this short clip, we demonstrate how to make a balloon car. Along with this, we explain important physics concepts like drag and acceleration.

Static Electricity - This short clip focuses on static electricity and how it is conducted. By using a piece of wool and rubbing it against a balloon we are able to show how various household materials react to static electricity.

Water Experiments - In this video, two experiments are explained that have to do with water. The first experiment is one that shows that water cannot enter a cup that is flipped upside down underwater, because air is in the cup. The next experiment shows how heat expands air.
