Education Alley

Education Alley was a wonderful sucess.

More than 2500 students went on the ultimate field trip.

Education Alley was the place to learn and have FUN.

Want to know how to go to space? Demonstrations, presentations, special guests, hands on activities, and a few surprises helped students and teachers find the answer.
Want to know what you can be when you grow up? Aerospace professionals, scientists, and other pioneers shared fun ideas.
What happened at Education Alley?
Students had the amazing opportunity to meet the professionals in the exciting field of aerospace. NASA brought displays of things they are working on. Aerospace companies brougt displays of their products. Special speakers and presenters talked about the work that they do. Education Alley was more than just listening or looking, it was also doing.
Students had the opportunity to do hands on activities. In the past they measured the height of things with a protractor, they froze flowers, they created craters, they used a solar cooker to toast a marshmallow, and they even ate marshmallows that they froze.

This unique  free educational opportunity happened right here in San Diego from September 9 through 11. Registration opened June 13 and filled quickly!
